Catching Gestures
Gestures are a good challenge to catch in a street photo. But timing is key…
I saw the group walking towards me. The guy leading seemed animated and chatty.
There was something about the way he was waving his arms around and clearly enjoying the day out…
So, I got ready on the off-chance that a photo was coming.
Indeed, I felt sure there was a photo coming.
And as I watched them get nearer the lead guy started pointing out things to the left and right.
So that was tricky.
Because I felt that when he pointed to the left (his left) the picture would work better.
And that had me sweating for a moment or two. Since they were almost up to where I was.
But then, in a moment of magic, he did a massive point out over to his left. And the lady snapped her head around to look.
I fired the photo and I’m pleased with the result. It does indeed make the point well that for some street photos…
Timing is everything.
