Seizing the Moment

I nearly missed this one entirely.

I was on the way out of the city centre with a set of decent shots on my memory card.

So, I’d relaxed and was looking forward to getting home for a big ol’ mug of coffee.

And that proves that you should keep your wits about you at all times.

Because the man turned up in the window of his book store almost as I was passing.

He made a quick couple of changes and disappeared again.

So, I had a few seconds to wake up, see the opportunity, and make the shot.

And in view of that, I am delighted with the result.

Now, as street photos go, this is a basic one.

But it does have that unique flavour to it and that’s important in street photography.

Because it’s not common for this kind of thing to happen right in front of you.

So, The learning point from this picture was, always be ready.

You never know where a photo might come from.
